Updating Nissan Navigation per TSB NTB15-011a.

Flash unavailable, apparently it is sent on a flash drive to the dealers. It also appears that only ECM and TCM reprogramming is available.

Contacted Nissan Tech help line. I will copy and paste my email conversation with the tech, who was as helpful as he could be, good service otherwise. Once processed you will receive an emailed refund receipt. Now to get to business, our TechInfo sites do not provide Navigation System Software. Our website only offers the purchase of ECM and TCM programming data used by CONSULT III plus and NERS. I will need to forward this request directly to Nissan North America’s Aftersales-Dealer Support department, for further assistance. You may also want to consider contacting Consumer Affairs for advice. On your second question, you can only register your device for software updates, if you purchased the CONSULT III plus directly from Bosch, these updates cost $400 per year. The second option to purchase an annual software update subscription costs $725, but does not require a Bosch invoice to be registered. This second option is used for second hand purchased CONSULT III plus. You may be best off by continuing to receive software updates from your provider, M2K, as you purchased the hardware directly from them. The service information site is not quite clear to me on how to obtain the calibration files that I need. I purchased the 2 subscriptions in hopes that it would lead me to the right place in order to download a file. I found the TSB for the concern that I am attempting to correct, however, no such link or path for me to find the download. I'll give you some info on what I am working with, and hopefully that will help you find a solution for me. We are an independent shop that services many makes of vehicles, mostly newer(<10yrs). Including myself, we have 3 NASTF locksmiths. We have Consult III+ purchased from a 3rd party company called M2K INC. It has been recently updated as we use it for key programming very frequently, as well as diagnostics, updating and programming. The TSB that I referred to is NTB15-011a, Nissan Connect Navigation System Software Update. I realize the files are sent on a USB to the dealers according to the bulletin, so I hope there is a way for me to obtain this file another way as I do believe that the file should be available to us. Please let me know how to proceed, feel free to call or email. On another subject, I am wondering if there is a way to register our Consult directly through Nissan and then have access to software updates as they roll out. I would like to get away from having to use M2K to do updates! I see you are interested in purchasing an ECU Data file download from our site. I have looked into your account and notice that you purchased a one day subscription. This subscription is not related to any ECU Data downloads. You purchased this from the tab titled ‘Purchase Subscription for Viewing Publications’. This allows you to view all Service Manuals, TSBs, etc. In order to purchase an ECU Data file download you will need to go to one of the tabs titled ‘…ECU Blank Programming, ECU Reprogramming…’ (lower left and lower right tabs of the home page. Next, select the Reprogramming or Blank Programming section and enter your ECU part number and select the configuration to purchase for the ECU Data file download. You will want to make sure you have the latest software version of NERS or CONSULT III plus in order to complete the ECU programming. Nissan Response: Danny Uhls: I am familiar with this case. Navigation System software is only available at the dealer. By regulation, we are not required to provide this file through our Tech Info website.
