Description of Repair unable to perform
3-day subscription to VIDA to download a software update. I get caught in a loop with other products added that I don't want. Should be a $28 3-day subscription available. I have signed up & installed the latest VIDA on my computer. I was all hooked up to the car, ready to download. Signed up last week and was charged $101.50 for VIDA 'All In One' which included VIDA installation disk & 3-day subscription.

Volvo offers an array of VIDA subscriptions which are fully described on our website www.volvotechinfo.com. To find the subscription options and descriptions you will need to click on the Subscriptions link found on the left-side of any volvotechinfo page. From this page you will find all the VIDA subscription options available as well as durations, descriptions and pricing information. Included with our VIDA subscriptions (excluding the Parts only subscription) are the following; Service Bulletins, Tech Net Notes and on-line Wiring Diagrams. These are the "other products" that you mention that you do not want. At Volvo we believe that if you are ordering VIDA to access service information you should also have all locally published technical information at your finger tips so you can properly diagnose and repair a Volvo. It is our policy that this information is pertinent in the research, diagnosing and repair of a vehicle and Volvo will continue to include this information with subscriptions that include Service Information. Prior to your filing of help request 10561 you had purchased a VIDA All in one 3-day subscription. That subscription provided you access to Parts Catalog, Service Information, Diagnostics and Software Download capability. In your help request you state that you have purchased an additional subscription, a 3-day CAS VIDA on Web (P+S) for $28. With this subscription you state that you can not access VIDA as you have received the message "Access denied since no valid subscription was found." After working with you it was determined that you were clicking on the VIDA All in one access icon and not the VIDA on web icon. This was one of the reasons for your access problem. You also had .Net framework errors and a Windows update installed on your computer which cause errors once you accessed VIDA. In addition to those issues you were trying to access Diagnostics and Software Download functions from the Web application, which we fully explain on our subscription page is only available with VIDA all in one. Thank you for following the proper procedures and filing your help request. As a result of your help request we were able to assist you in resolving your issues, your VIDA application is up and running and you now understand the different VIDA subscriptions.
