Inquiry
Have you checked the OEM website?
Yes
Description of Repair unable to perform
I need to mate a new key to this car. All I need is the code number.
Description of Information not available
I have no way to obtain a immobilizer code
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
The porsche website requires a pass thru set up so the I cannot see the code....Question...Why can I not have the Immobilizer code like the dealer technicians do? I have a LSID and the dealer level tester. Porsche requires a pass thru setup for independents. NOT the same as the dealers
Other Comments or Concerns
What happened to the manufacturers treating the dealers and qualified independents the same? Do the dealer technicians have LSID's?

Tu Tran contacted Mr Martin and talked through the setup of the Porsche scan tool for immobilizer operations. His response is as follows: if a shop does purchase the Porsche OEM tool (PIWIS Tester) then they are able to acquire adaptions. This is included in the whole package the shop purchases. If a shop did not want to use the OEM tool they can get access to PXN, which is the Porsche virtual tester and works with a J2534 Pass-Thru device. Here the shop will need to purchase subscriptions as they go in order to acquire adaptions.
