Replaced CEM module and had attempted to program. Unsuccessful programming (not able to using OEM software.

NO SUPPORT with proof of software error with j2534
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
while turning computer on VIDA had an update available so continued to do so. after the update had finished we had continued with the programming process. Performed fault trace error free, However, when we purchased the software that was recommended by the VIDA program it had allowed us to purchase (after it performs its comparison check) and allows us to select retrieve (download of software). While performing another comparison after purchase it would not allow us to download the software with the error message "purchase failed". in an attempt to finish a customers vehicle we had contacted VIDA help and had been told that we are the ONLY people with this issue and that our computer most likely is the culprit. after going through 3 computers that meet or exceed their "System Requirements" (the original did meet the requirements) we still received the same error message. after contacting them again (rude responses) they had told us our communication tool was at fault and suggest we purchase the OEM tool (DICE) to correct our issue and that a(n) IT professional would be in contact with us. We had not received ANY such contact in any way fom said person(s) . Not satisfied with the response we contacted DREW TECHNOLOGIES in regard to what had been presented. They had been extremely helpful and had gone through data log with their engineering department remotely and showed me what was going on. the Vida software had been trying to use the same channel to perform a different operation (iso) causing the error message thus leaving the software update to be at fault. very little to no help with issue. extremely slow response time, and very rude. most supportive company i have had the pleasure to work with

Volvo contacted the requester and was able to capture the issue. Sweden reviewed the issue and has come up with a resolution. Their initial testing has had good results and they are going to continue testing. They are intending to release the fix with the release of the VIDA 17.8 version, sometime around September 6th. This SIR will remain open until the new version is available.
