Notes
Paul Soar - 04/17/2017
NASTF is waiting on more information from the SIR submitter. More information to come...
Paul Soar - 04/21/2017
Because there are many variables with reprogramming, more information about this exact instance is needed before the SIR can be submitted to the manufacturer. The client did not respond with the additional information, therefore the SIR was closed "invalid". The SIR can be reopened if necessary.
Paul Soar - 04/25/2017
This SIR was reopened. Volvo has been contacted. NASTF is waiting for a reply.

The ECM, in this case, is not able to be erased. Additionally, this particular ECM cannot be switched from another vehicle. The only course of action was to replace the ECM. There is no software available to erase this ECM. Because there are may variables to programming, Volvo did not have a cause for the failed software download.
