Description of Repair unable to perform
We have a valid LSID and are running IDS version 102.02. Attempting to gain PATS security access to do a parameter reset on a 2015 Ford Mustang. IDS opens internet explorer and we choose the NASTF option. We enter in our log in and and password, click submit and the page acts as if it is loading and then does nothing. IDS eventually times out and gives error message "communication error back end server failed" We tried internet explorer 8 9 and 10, followed Ford PDF instructions for security settings in internet explorer with no change in results, unable to perform security learn.

We have contacted Ford/Motorcraft Service, but they state they do not support programming/security issues.
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
Reviewed Ford PDFs for proper configuration of internet browser. Called Ford/Motorcraft multiple times, each time stating they offer no support. Received an email from fixed-term.Rory.Hutchins@us.bosch.com stating to reinstall IDS. We tried IDS 102.02 on another Win7 Pro 64-bit laptop, same issue.
Other Comments or Concerns
It appears that it's not an issue with IDS, but that the website used to enter in NASTF LSID for aftermarket service providers is at fault.

Ford investigated the concern. They had received similar complaints from multiple users about “back end failures” in the same time frame. They have researched the issue and they have concluded this was a temporary network issue that has since been resolved.
