Notes
Paul Soar - 02/04/2016
Certain 2004-2006 MY Dodge Sprinters may have an EGR Readiness issue. If a previous drive-ability repair had resulted in the memory being reset, it can led to the unset EGR readiness bit. FCA is aware of this condition and is currently working service routine that will be implemented into the DRB III Emulator. This service routine is expected to be activated in the first quarter 2016.
Paul Soar - 10/03/2016
The new service routine is still in the development stage at this time and has not been released. NASTF will continue to monitor the situation.
Paul Soar - 12/09/2016
FCA is currently modifying the diagnostic tool (DRB III Emulator) and developing the flash program from Daimler for the affected 2004-2006 MY Dodge Sprinters. The current time frame is approximately the 1st Quarter of 2017.
Paul Soar - 02/10/2017
Paul Soar - 03/08/2017
The DRB III Emulator application is in final stages of development. FCA/Daimler is currently testing the application. There is not an expected release until after April 1, 2017.
Paul Soar - 06/06/2017
The fix on this issue will result in a recall. The recall has been approved, but has not been officially launched. There is no time-frame on the official release.
Paul Soar - 07/03/2017
NASTF will continue to monitor.
