The Theft Relevant Parts (TRP) policy requires the part to be ordered through the www.startekinfo website before they can be purchased. Once ordered, and if it is approved, MBUSA will send an email authorization to the dealer allowing the sale of the TRP. The policy can be found at Refer to the Theft-Relvant parts tab. The policy and the forms can be downloaded from there. The email authorization should happen in a relatively short period of time, but some ISPs have seen this process take longer. If the authorization does not occur, NASTF can advise MBUSA of the issue and the dealer can be contacted to complete the process. In this case, the client worked through the specifics of the TRP parts policy and the ordering process, but the authorization was not received in a timely manner. The ISP supplied the dealer contact information and NASTF contacted MBUSA. The authorization was received and the part was purchased and received.
