Description of Repair unable to perform
Unable to pmi or reflash pcm on this platform of module. Any process performed on these modules with FMP 95 and cardaq-m results in "bricking" the module.

I have been involved in working both with Drew tech and Bosch (Ford) for over a month on this problem. As of 6/24/2015 a phone conference call between the three of us resulted in an acknowledgement that this will not be resolved by either of the companies involved.

This issue is related to a timeout that occurs when attempting to program the PCM. Ford developers are currently working on a fix and are in a testing stage at this time.

NASTF has received confirmation from Ford and Drewtech of a scheduled update to the Ford programming software. FMP version 97 software will be released mid-September 2015 and will correct the programming issues on the 2004 Aviator with the latest version of Cardaq-M firmware. This issue appears to be isolated only to the 2004 Aviator and the fix, brokered by NASTF, will correct the timeout that occurs when attempting to program this PCM.

Ford FMP version 97 has been released. This new version will correct timeout issues related to programming the 2004 Aviator PCM with the Cardaq-M firmware.
