Recently there have been issues surrounding the programming of "blank" TCMs from Nissan. There is a procedure listed in TSB NTB14-033 that outlines the process of replacing and reprogramming of "blank" TCMs. if you are a mobile programmer than you may want to advise your customers of the TSB to avoid future issues. The current internal P/N of the TCM and the VIN should be saved with the Consult III before replacement of the TCM. If it was not saved before replacement, then the TCM software P/N can be obtained by using the VIN in the electronic parts catalog when the part is purchased. The parts catalog should display the "blank" TCM P/N and the P/N for the software. If that P/N number was not provided, then the next option would be to contact the OEM website support by using the help menu on the website to submit your request. The website support should be able to obtain the information you need.
