The ROM-DATA ID or ID NO FOR PROGRAMMING is supposed to be supplied by the parts department according to tsb# 14-033 but the parts department at every dealer I call does not have this info
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
I have contacted Nissan corporate and have spoken with Morgan Schneider her email is mschneider@tweddle.com she is able to get us this information usually in a day or two. This is unacceptable as this info is readily available to the OEM dealer. we have another one to do today and unfortunately for us I received an automated email that Morgan is out of the office today. We desperately need a way to access the information that is clearly supposed to be available to the aftermarket according to this tsb. Please help.

Recently there have been issues surrounding the programming of "blank" TCMs from Nissan. There is a procedure listed in TSB NTB14-033 that outlines the process of replacing and reprogramming of "blank" TCMs. if you are a mobile programmer you may want to advise your customers of the TSB to avoid future issues. A summary of the procedure to be followed: The current internal P/N of the TCM and the VIN should be saved with the Consult III before replacement of the TCM. If it was not saved before replacement, then the TCM software P/N can be obtained by using the VIN in the electronic parts catalog when the part is purchased. The parts catalog should display the "blank" TCM P/N and the P/N for the software. If that P/N number was not provided, then the next option would be to contact the OEM website support by using the "help menu" on the website to submit your request. The website support should be able to obtain the information you need.
