Have you checked the OEM website?
Yes
Description of Repair unable to perform
We have the above vehicle in house and it needs an EIS and new key to start it and make it run. Was towed in.
Description of Information not available
Can't get EIS or Key. I should be able to purchase an EIS and programming key with my LSID but have been unsuccessful.
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
Finding the page you have to go to get TRP is almost impossible to find...it is actually in a link under bulletins related to TRP on the www.startekinfo.com page. Once you finally find it and click on the link it takes you to https://www.locksmithsdrm.com/mb-sdrm/Disclaimer.aspx?trp=true Filling out the form that is on line got me no where. I either get a message that the "vin is invalid" or a message to call my dealer or 1800formerc. This must be added as a joke cause the dealer can't order the parts for you unless you have filled out the online form and they have received authorization internally to release the parts. I have scoured the Mercedes TRP documents looking for any alternatives to this online method and can't find anything. I can't find any phone numbers, fax numbers or any protocol in the case of this online process not working. I did find one email address on one document for a Keith Luther and initially he did return an email to me but subsequent emails have been ignored so I am back at square one. I can't find any way to purchase what I need even though I have done what I am suppose to do.
Other Comments or Concerns
After working through this whole process it seems to me that this is set up as to be only a circus ride. In the end I just want to fix cars and move on to the next.
