On 7/3/2014 client was asked for additional information but no response to date so SIR is closed unless reopened by client. The NASTF SIR is intended for use when it is known or suspected that a franchise dealer has access to this service information and that the independent does not. OEM responded regarding this SIR that their information contains standard component testing but nothing specific to multiple coil replacement on this vehicle. There are also no TSB’s to cover the concern they are referencing with OE components. This request does not appear to be asking for specific OE information but rather why a coil manufactured out of our control failed three times, other than rudimentary diagnosis, which they would need to subscribe to our information service to review, we can’t answer.
