Description of Repair unable to perform
access to a paid GM subscription.
Description of Information not available
unable to access even though we have paid subscription. gm has locked their subscription to only 3 pc's. this is fine with me. however, one of the pc's we use has been replaced due to damage. now they have to release the license so i can use it on the new pc. again no big deal except for the fact that they dont seem to be able to accomplish this. i have now been down to 2 pc's instead of the 3 that i need. this wouldnt be a problem if their service was free but it is far from it. this is unacceptable. i pay good money for this service and am loosing money because of their ineptitude. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)

GM points out that this SIR not a valid SIR as the information is available. The user (client) is dealing with a security scheme to limit sharing of ID’s much like other aftermarket service providers. The GM helpdesk team has been working with this user to resolve his issues. NASTF asked GM for an explanation of the security scheme for publication as a hint/tip to technicians in the NASTF Newsletter.

The issue in this SIR deals with the limit of 3 PCs allowed to connect to a shop's GM subscription. NASTF has asked GM to provide instructions as to how a shop already using 3 PCs would apply to replace a decommissioned PC with a new one.
