Made contact with KIA customer service at the number left on the website. They determined that my account no longer exists due to the website change. An attempt was made to setup a new account which results in a duplicate account message even though I don't have a Kia account. They told me they have no idea what is wrong with their system as they are not IT professionals and that there is no other support method avaialable for the website. They want me to create an account using completely different information to access their site.

Sending of this SIR to the OEM was delayed until details of this situation could be reviewed with filing client. Client expects to be able to create an account at Kia and at Hyundai without the need to use two different email addresses. While client's inability to create a Kia account may not be related to the active Hyundai account, it is the client's goal to obtain help from Kia to resolve this issue.

Client email and password was already on file with Kia. Possible problem in this SIR may have been a browser setting or the case-sensitive password.
