I ordered the Consult 3 Plus on 6/18/13 being fully aware that I must have a Nissan Authorized Toughbook CF-18 in order for the Consult 3 Plus software to load on the Laptop. I purchased the Consult 3 Plus from Bosch/SPX/Tech-Mate for $5,585.09 and received it later part of 08/2013. I loaded the included Software Version 26.12 and Drivers into my Nissan Authorized Panasonic Toughbook CF-18 (Model #CF-18JHU80TW/Serial #6GKSB26654)and everything worked fine. I then tried to purchase the yearly subscription from the Nissan website but was unsuccessful because Nissan requires the Invoice#/Purchase Date/Product#/Item Qty for original purchase of Consult 3 Kit .I do not have the invoice because I purchased the full kit from a vendor for $8560 back on 5/9/2007. The vender does not have the Invoice for his bulk order from Nissan from 6 Years ago. I contacted both Paula & Brandon from Tech-Mate many times from the starting date of 8/26/13 through 9/10/13. They have NO control over the software purchase but only the products. They spoke with Nissan and told me a new disc would be sent out and I would also be allowed to use my current Consult 3 Plus invoice to log in to purchase a yearly subscription. I was mailed an OLD disc version 26.12 on Oct 3rd which is useless when I was already was given this in my Consult 3 Plus kit (the newest version is currently V31.11). Nissan still has not allowed me access to purchase the yearly subscription.
Other Comments or Concerns
We need to level the playing field for anyone wanting to purchase a yearly subscription by using the Nissan website and it is quite SIMPLE. The Nissan website needs a change so that a valid owner of their Consult 3 Kit (Which includes the Panasonic Toughbook, Consult 3 Interface and all the other accessories that come with it) are able to Register the Laptop Serial #/Laptop Model #/Customer Name/Company Name/Address with the Nissan website so that they can purchase the yearly subscription. If customer buys a used kit or buys from a vender without going through Tech-Mate there is NO WAY they can ever get the yearly subscription. I now have $14,145.09 invested in my Nissan Consult 3/Consult 3 Plus kit and I am unable to purchase a yearly subscription. Something needs to be done here ... PLEASE HELP!!
