WAS TOLD THIS WAS A TRP PART THAT NEEDED TO BE ORDERED FROM STARTEKINFO TRP FORM-PART NOT LISTED.

TRIED ALL LINKS TO STARTEKINFO-MODLUE NOT ON THE 4.2.1 LIST-MERCEDES DEALER TOLD ME THE VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED AT THE DEALER ONLY THAT THEY COULD NOT EVEN SELL ME THE EMISSIONS PART.THE PARTS MANAGER DID ORDER THE PART FOR ME BUT I HAD TO SEND HIM THE NASTF FORM WITH MY LSID.WHEN THE PART IS NOT LISTED IN THE TRP 4.2.1 THEN ALL I SHOULD HAVE TO DO(ACCORDING TO MERCEDES TRP POLICY UNDER 4.1.1)IS GIVE THEM THE VEHICLE OWNERS INFO AND THATS IT-I LOST OVER FOUR HOURS OF SHOP TIME SORTING OUT THIS MESS.

TO ME THE LOCAL MERDEDES DEALER SHIP MAY NOT BE THE PROBLEM-PARTS MANAGER SAID THATS THE WAY IT WAS LISTED ON THERE END.

MBUSA will not confirm this but it appears that the dealer refuses to cooperate with the TRP parts ordering policy established by MBUSA in cooperation with NASTF using his LSID. This policy has been a great success and has improved not only vehicle security but has also given independent service providers ready access to many of these parts. Client may take his parts business any other MB dealer. Dealers operate as independent business and can technically refuse sales. Unfortunately the current NASTF Service Information Standards agreement (which can be found on the NASTF website www.nastf.org) does not directly address parts availability at this time.
