Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
Contacted the Wi-tech support line who told me that even though I have a valid paid subscription I am not entitled to support for software issues because I purchased the tool from an outside vendor and not them even though the interface is a licensed interface. This is about removed functionality in software not tool support.

Chrysler performed some preliminary testing using the wiTECH application and is able to access all the links related to service diagnostics. Regarding wiTECH tool support from the Chrysler help desk, the technician must purchase a separate wiTECH help support subscription.

And more from Chrysler on this: Aftermarket technicians can purchase the tool support separately even if they did not buy the tool from Chrysler. However, in order to get Chrysler wiTECH support, the aftermarket technicians need to have a complete wiTECH system. The aftermarket technicians can contact wiTECH Help line- 1-888-wiTECH1 to purchase necessary equipment to have the complete wiTECH System.
