I contacted Aston Martin dealerships to purchase the factory scan tool. Subsequent to my second request Aston Martin North America sent a bulletin to all dealerships that they may not sell the AMDS diagnostic tool to any independent repair shops.

I contacted 2 dealerships in the US and, through their website contacted Aston Martin in the UK.

Per OEM 10/6/11: We looked into this matter, and it turned out a degree of misunderstanding had arisen, which has now been rectified. The customer has now placed a confirmed order with Aston Martin for a diagnostics kit and accordingly I am pleased to confirm the query raised has now been resolved. As of 9/21/11 have not received a response from OEM regarding 9/7/11 inquiry into the status/outcome of this request and therefore closed inquiry. D. Yingling Took longer than usual submitting to the manufacturer because I had to determine who the appropriate contact for Aston Martin would be, as the person I used to deal with was no longer in the position.
