Much like one can look up Calibrations a feature to give a build sheet would keep me from having to call my dealer. This info is available to dealer techs under the GM Global Warranty Management System.

Response from GM: Mr. Mueller, Thank you for your NASTF service information request for vehicle RPO information. The recommended GM service practice is for the service technician to use the label on the vehicle for RPO identification. I also understand there are cases where the label has become illegible or missing. In those cases our dealers can access the information through our Global Warranty System as you mentioned in your request. The GM Global Warranty System is an internal warranty claims and processing system between GM and its dealers. Therefore the Global Warranty System is considered an internal business system to GM and its dealers somewhat the same as our vehicle and parts ordering systems. By using the NASTF service information request process you have brought to our attention that the RPO information portion of the Global Warranty System should be accessible to the aftermarket in cases where the information on the labels is illegible or the label is missing. To make this information accessible to the aftermarket GM will need to design and develop an IT system to deliver RPO information to the aftermarket by vehicle VIN. This will take some time to complete. In the interim we have add services to the current GM TIS2Web technical support call center for an aftermarket repair facility to request RPO details for a specific vehicle in cases where the label is illegible or missing. The shop will need to the call the 800 number and provide the complete vehicle VIN and in turn will be emailed or faxed the RPO information for that specific vehicle. GM TIS2Web Technical Support 800-212-8959 Hopefully this satisfies your. If not feel free to respond to this email.

Mr. Muellers response back to GM: Thank you for your prompt attention. Yes that is fine I did not expect access to the GM Global Warranty system. I also did not expect that you would be able to flip a switch and make something work. I understand you must build something.
