OEM site will not allow you to purhase Vida subscription, which you need to purchase download for throttle body programming.
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
Went to OEM site (volvotechinfo.com) Opened account, logged in,clicked on Vida on task bar-clicked on puchase subscription,went to AIO subscription configurator-accepted license agreement terms-Security Warning popped up, asking if you want to view only webpage content delivered through secure site-answer yes, and page is canceled. Answer no and it says your session has timed out. That's as far as I could get.
Other Comments or Concerns
Very frustrating after just purchasing an expensive pass -thru device, and installing new throttle body on vehicle that now will not start without download. Customer upset, no help from Volvo or our local Dealer. Drew Tech tried to help but couldn't do it either. Please help!

Volvo personnel responded as follows in a letter to Mr. Nemphos: Thank you for following proper processes and allowing us to assist you regarding your recent information request through NASTF. Concerning your difficulties in purchasing a subscription to VIDA and based on the information you provided in NASTF document # 363, it appears this would have been an easily rectifiable issue. When users experience a "session timed out" error message, most often a clearing of temporary internet files, cookies and saved web information resolves the issue. As of this date, we have no record of a volvotechinfo.com help request being submitted to us. We offer support to assist all users in the purchase and installation of the VIDA product. Further, when we placed a phone call to your facility on Monday morning, Jan 10, 2011, we were advised that there was no longer an interest in support or the product. If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact us via the volvotechinfo.com help request system.
