NASTF Information Requests

Tracking: 326 Status: Closed
State: AL Name: Gerald
Category of Request: Website Navigation/Administration Manufacturer: BMW

Have you checked the OEM website?
Description of Repair unable to perform
The online version of BMWTIS is way to slow to be of any use. It takes 20 minutes to get to information that before could be found in two to three minutes. Sometimes you can spend all of this time and finally get to the area of information and the info will not be in there. We never had this problem with the 2G online system.
Description of Information not available
Torque specs are missing at times along with some repair procedures.
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
I have contacted BMW technical department before about the site not working. They take to long long to get back to you and have not helped yet. I have managed to fix my problems myself.
Other Comments or Concerns
We have put ISTA on a stand alone computer and We are running IE 7 with Pentium 4 processor. The computer should be plenty fast enogh to run this but is still extremely slow on ISTA light. We have not tried ISTA/D as of yet. ISTA light is so slow that I can only imagine what ISTA/d or P runs like.BMW needs to go back to the drawing board with this setup.
