Description of Repair unable to perform
The number I called was retrieved from the NASTF site regarding Nissan special tools. I was interested in the price of a "Consult". I was told by SPX that I had to be a dealer to purchase this tool. I called my dealer, NOB/Nissan of Brandon and was told that they didn't sell these tools. At least the dealer had never , up until now, sold one to an outside/independent shop.

Per our conversation the Consult II is available for sale, the Part number is J-44200 price $6265.18 US. The NATS card is available to Nissan/Infiniti dealers or Authorized affiliates of Nissan only. Nissan has received you’re NASTF complaint regarding the sale of CONSULT-II to non-Nissan/Infiniti dealers or service personnel. The Nissan policy allows the sale of CONSULT-II to anyone (NATS security card excepted). SPX has been provided with this policy and we have sold a number of units to other than Nissan/Infiniti dealers. Nissan is researching why SPX failed to perform according to our policy and instructions in this case.
