Description of Repair unable to perform
Tried downloading reflash for a 2000 Ram 1500. VIN# 1B7HF13Z6YJ177059. I tried a few times with no luck. All I got was J2534 Could not connect to SCI-A or SCI-B

Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
After speaking to the tech from the company my J2534 was made I e-mailed Techauthority.com on the afternoon of 11/14/08 @ their web site then again on 11/17/08. I finally got a response on 11/18/08 in the late afternoon. The response that I got was I looked at the Flash File available at www.techauthority.com based on given VIN 1B7HF13Z6YJ177059. The Flash File available are for the JTEC Engine Controller. This still did not answer my question and now if I want to try to download it again I have to pay again. The tech from the company I bought my J2534 passthrough from said that it is a download issue and not the hardware.

Chrysler personnel gave the following summary: I had several conversations with technician Marc Rosenhaus with and without my service engineer. Just before Christmas, I asked him to let me know if he was able to repair the vehicle in the next couple of days because I was going on vacation for the rest of the year. I did not hear back from him. Marc informed us that he rebuilt the transmission and that it was having a gear shifting issue. Unfortunately, we were not able to determine why the vehicle could not be reprogrammed since the transmission was rebuild. Since we are unaware of any issues with this reprogramming event, something may have happened when the transmission was rebuilt (e.g., loose wire). We provided him with free access to TechAuthority for a period of time. We also sent him a couple of diagrams and information on additional items to consider for this type of issue. We informed him that the diagnostics needed to be performed.
