Diagnostic procedures for code P3102 (oe code 19558)
|Description of Information not available|
Description of steps taken to obtain information (help/contact function on website, websites, etc.)
Martin was very helpful in trying to resolve the issue and he relayed VW's response back to me with an apology. VW has no diagnostics for this code (it is a valid code). The check engine light is on which will make the car fail emissions testing here. What am I supposed to do? I don't want to guess and throw parts as the car (the intake throttle body is fairly expensive) and all I have is a cryptic code definition to diagnose the vehicle.

The concern was with DTC 3102 that was missing from the DTC list for a 2004 Jetta TDI. The concern was first received from Mr. Layton through our Ebahn Web site on August 6th. We forwarded a description of the code through our web site vendor to the customer on that same day. (V157 intake manifold flap, no signal). There was no further contact between the 6th and the 15th. There is a illustration and description of the component in the service manual and it is identified in the wiring diagram. However the DTC code and diagnostic information was indeed missing. I phoned Mr. Layton on the 15th and spoke on the subject. He had already identified the concern and repaired the car. We have forwarded this concern to the factory for resolution and will add the code to the DTC list along with the diagnostic information when it is available.
