Help in locating Special Service Messages on the Ford website. I get them on my scan tool but can't figure out how to get them on the site using the VIN under the TSB/SSM tab.

I was contacted by two of the Ford web support staff. Ann showed me how to get the SSMs I was looking for with the VIN. Since I have received a few requests for this information in workshops I teach I asked if they would be willing to answer a Service Information Request to make the answer more widely available. It is pretty cool once you learn how to use it. Ann agreed, so this is the official request to explain how to utilize the Oasis function and maybe add the explanation to the website too. Thanks.

Attached is the document with instructions for retrieving the SSM's. Thanks for bringing this to our attention - contact us if you have more questions! Directions for Using Oasis function: You must use OASIS to identify SSM's that apply to your vehicle and symptom 1. Log on to the Motorcraftservice Site ( 2. Select Service Publications (Under My Subscriptions) 3. Select Pubs by VIN (OASIS) 4. Enter VIN in the VIN Entry Box 5. Select Symptom/DTC Codes (must select a Symptom to get SSM's) 6. Click Get OASIS button 7. On the OASIS tab you see should see SPECIAL SERVICE MESSAGES
