Needs assistance in transferring VIDA subscription to a new computer. Volvotechinfo help line corresponded for a while, but did not solve the problem and stopped corresponding this morning.

Received telephone call and e-mail on May 22 from Volvo saying that appropriate personnel have been in touch with Mr. Kushner and have assisted him in resolving his issue.

Mr. Kushner; I would first like to thank you for following the process we have established at and submitting a Help Request. We have found the Help Request system to be very valuable in resolving user requests in a timely fashion. The process for deregistering a computer (client ID) and registering a new one is typically a smooth and straight forward process. It can sometimes be an involved process when a computer crashes requiring the reinstallation of the operating system, as has happened in your case. During this process there are some steps that need to be taken on the users' side and some steps that are taken on local helpdesk side. Unfortunately, you submitted this Service Information Feedback/Request while we were completing the steps on our side of the process. Once these steps were completed your registration was finalized and access to VIDA was restored. As you have found there is a possibility for a VIDA user to deregister and reregister computers without the assistance of Helpdesk support. To move access of a VIDA all-in-one subscription from one computer to another you will first need to login to the computer that is currently attached to the subscription. Once logged on to VIDA click on the Start tab and then Perform Computer Settings link. You will get a pop-up. On the first tab SYSTEM the top line reads "VIDA subscription expires in: xxx days" followed by the link DEREGISTER LOCAL CLIENT. You will then need click this link to deregister the computer. To register or attach the next computer you will need to open VIDA all-in-one to the login page and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the link REGISTRATION GUIDE FOR SUBSCRIPTION. This will allow you to register and attach the next computer in your shop that you would like to use with VIDA. Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns.
