I am trying to find out if Security initialization can be performed with the J-2534 device and which adapter cables it requires (if any) and pricing of the adapter (if required).

Mitsubishi is forcing you to subscribe to the site to get this information. You can't even contact them without a user id which you have to pay for a subscription to get. There should be a way to contact them for information.

Response from Mitsubishi: Richard, It was nice speaking to you this morning. This is a follow-up to our conversation and will serve as an update to NASTF. As a result of our discussion, we will make modifications to our website to clearly state no subscription is required to utilize the "contact us" link.
