Description of Repair unable to perform
Iam attempting to reprogram a Mazda MPV using Mazda Module Programming. The software will not allow me to enter the user ID assigned to me by Mazda as theID they assigned me is longer than the reprogramming software will allow. I have a customer who is without a car becvause of this and Mazda has not contaceted to resolve the issue.

Mazda personnel responded to e-mail feedback on Saturday January 12 by assigning a UID with fewer characters. Mr. Layton responded to Mazda Sunday morning suggesting that Mazda change the UID assignment to allow for longer UID's since UID is tied to e-mail address, and some are longer than allowable in the Mazda system. Mazda personnel responded that while Mazda North American Operations does not own the application, they will request the change, and will also take action to avoid a similar occurrence in the future.
