02-10-05 Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I need some additional information before I proceed. Can you tell me the vehicle type and model year that you were searching for this information? Thanks! Ford Motor CompanyBill Haas - 2/18/2005 2:44:35 PM
Ford has investigated your complaint regarding the availability of front frame rail and magnesium core tip replacement procedures for a 2004 Ford F150. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Our findings regarding the two issues you raised are as follows: 1. Front frame rail replacement procedure for serviceable rail ends. The instructions for frame rail replacement are not contained in a service publication. The parts instruction sheet is included in the service kit along with the service part. Individual parts instruction sheets are not distributed other than in the kits and are therefore not on Motorcraftservice.com. I understand that the instruction sheet was subsequently emailed to you when you reported you had not received them with the part. 2. Magnesium core support replacement procedure. For 2004 F-150, this information is contained in TSB 04-25-17 Magnesium Alloy Radiator Core Support - Unique Handling and Repair Procedures - Service Tips. This TSB is available on Motorcraftservice.com under 2004 F-Series LD. I understand the TSB has been sent to you along with the instruction sheet even though it is also available on our website.
