I am submitting this complaint not because I was unable to obtain information, but because it has come to my attention that if once I choose to pay for and download material from the VW Erwin web site, it will automatically time out after one year. I consider this not only to be unfair but unethical as no prior warning is provided. Unless this has happened to you and you know to print everything, a user will eventually go to their computer and find that access has been blocked to material that they already paid for. No where does it say that when you purchase information it will only be available to you for one year. I am hoping this complaint will reach the right person and stop this from happening. I understand paying for information but am disappointed that I would have to pay for the same information year after year.

Volkswagen of America appreciates the opportunity to address your issue. We are the importers of both Volkswagen and Audi vehicles for the US and Canada. The Complaint stated, "it has come to my attention that if once I choose to pay for and download material from the VW Erwin web site, it will automatically time out after one year." Based on feedback from our subscribers, we are reconsidering the subscription models for Volkswagen and Audi erWin. A final decision has not been made and will take some time to implement. As an interim step, all erWin subscriptions for USA residents have been extended for one year at no charge. We will notify all subscribers by email and you may have already received the notice. Once any permanent changes to the subscription model are in place, all USA users will be again notified by email. Thanks for your feedback.
